Growing Roots & Finding Stability Weekend Workshop & Teacher Training
Anatomy, Asana and Alignment of the Feet, Hips, & Pelvis in Standing and Balancing Poses
Join us as we explore the lower body: the feet, knees, hips,
and pelvis. We'll review the Anatomy and Physiology of the lower body,
discuss it's strengths and weaknesses then introduce Alignment
Principles to safely create range of motion and stability in the hips,
pelvis and lower body. And to put the Anatomy and Alignment Principles
into Action we'll incorporate all this information into an Asana
practice (physical poses) emphasizing stability and hip opening in
Standing, Balancing and Floor Hip Opener Poses. Then we'll enjoy a
little foot reflexology and Thai Massage to send us off into deep
Savasana. This course offers an in-depth study of classical Hatha yoga
poses for the beginner student and it is a great refresher for the
intermediate or advanced yogi or yogini.
In this course, we will
also address the spiritual aspects of the lower body, including but not
limited to, the Bhandas, Vayus, Chakras and Nadis.
